Employee Wellness Team Building Cooking & Nutrition Days

WW & Chef Marlene

Our corporate programme, The Great Escape, is a fun and informative way to create employee wellness team-building events. In the news this week, I was therefore delighted to see that Citizens Wellbeing should be part of G20's priorities.

This makes complete sense as the key drivers of any business are the staff. It's a no-brainer to see that healthy, happy staff increase productivity.

Eliminating stress and avoiding executive burnout

A busy life often requires us to move beyond the boundaries of healthy living. One of the greatest challenges of modern life is finding a balance between our commitments to business, family, society and ourselves. Since stress is a major contributing factor in the development of many serious illnesses, we need to develop strategies for healthy living so that we can enjoy the benefits of the life we work so hard to achieve.

Work-Life- Balance

Workplace Stress: Job strains that lead to physical illness have become an unpleasant fact for millions of workers worldwide.  Individuals must and should take steps to reduce and cope with the stress in their lives, and incorporating Life-force usage and Wellness Strategies is the only proactive solution both at work and at home.

Our Work-Life Balance Workshop will show you new coping strategies that could prevent illness.

This programme is aimed at teaching the busy city dweller how to nourish both the body and mind while experiencing a relaxing environment. You will learn simple tools to eat well, reduce stress and keep fit while in the office and on the road.

Understanding Nutrition and How To Cook Healthy Food

Eating well is the most important single factor in good health and often the most challenging. We feel it has been made too complicated. The answers to healthy living do not reside in counting calories or following the latest weight loss programme – they lie in common sense.

We have adapted the principles of ancient Asian medicine to modern living to arrive at an approach to eating that considers personal preference, environment, physical habits and personal health goals. Our plant-based vegan cooking and nutrition workshops are loved by all attendees.

Reducing Stress at Work

Stress is acknowledged as a component of most of today’s illnesses. The good news is that there are abundant tools for reducing and even eliminating stress that don’t cost money or even a large investment of time.

This programme will introduce three important ways to combat and reduce stress: nutrition, cooking and education. We will look at the simple ways in which emotional and physical stress interact and introduce techniques to dissipate them. Practical sessions will include hands-on cooking for all delegates, exercises that can be done in the workplace based on yoga and tai chi, as well as learning relaxation techniques for use in the office that can be done anywhere.

Creating a Healthy Home and Office Environment

Our health has a lot to do with the environment we inhabit.  There are many things that we can do in our home and offices, as well as adaptations of daily habits that can better serve our well-being.

In this workshop, we will explore the ways in which management of daily tasks, office and home environment, hydration, exercise and sleep impact our health and how to maximise our work and living environment.  The workshop comes with written guidelines for weekly activities that serve health, healthy home hints and a list of practical and simple ways to improve sleep and rest.

The above programme can be offered in a one-, two-, or three-day format.
